Limited Edition Mont Blanc Series - Mortlach 500ml with Gift Box

For the 2025/2026 Holiday Series, we have hand-filled a single cask, single malt, from Mortlach (Speyside, Scotland).   Matured initially in refill barrels, this whisky was then finished (or “wine-finished”) in two wine barrels.  It is bottled at ABV: 46%,  without chill filtration and is in its natural colour.

The combination of Mortlach’s character (“meaty,” “robust,” “full‐bodied”) with a wine finish gives this whisky extra complexity. The wine barrels add fruity, tangy, perhaps tart layers on top of Mortlach’s richer, savoury/brothy base.  The limited availability adds to its collector appeal.  The ABV at 46% gives it strength without being overwhelming; plus, natural colour / non‐chill filtered is often appreciated by whisky enthusiasts for preserving flavour.

Nose: Toasted fruitcake, caramel, milk chocolate, black pepper, a touch of ginger and oak. Palate: Allspice, pain au chocolat, stewed plums, and a whiff of barbecued meats.  Finish: Medium long, with spiced dark chocolate on a peppery finish.

This whisky series is inspired from the famed Alpine titan, from an age before memory, wrapped in robes of snow and veils of mist.  This gorgeous bottle’s jagged ridges resemble the teeth of ancient gods, gnawing at the sky, while glaciers spill down its flanks like frozen tears, shed in forgotten wars of heaven.

Inside, we select that special single malt, of lost legends and stories of fire-breathing dragons, imprisoned beneath the spirit.  Of star-born elements who once danced along crystalline slopes of copper.

At dawn, the first light paints our whisky in molten hues of gold, as if the sun itself bows before Mont Blanc’s ageless majesty.  Mont Blanc is a silent sentinel for our whisky, holding up the vault of heaven like an unyielding pillar between worlds.

Those who taste this nectar sometimes swear they hear a heartbeat deep within its viscosity.  It is a slow and powerful pulse of the earth’s ancient soul, waiting for the day the mountain stirs again.
